OBJECTIVE }
This project explored typographic forms in a new way. Before deciding
on the final solution, I tried a variety of type experiments through
different materials and media. Because of their inherent uncertainty,
experiments can produce unexpected and different results each
time, which is what made this project fascinating.

APPROACH }
I chose Moonlight, which won the 2017 Oscar for Best Picture. I used type
to express the emotions of the characters and the main themes in
the film. I was inspired by the confusion and struggle of the protagonist
growing up, which are endlessly magnified under the moonlight.
Therefore, my chosen medium is mirrored or reflective vinyl sheets and
a projector. I used them to project different elements onto various
surfaces and thus to create a more three-dimensional design solution.
